Get free access to an instructional design tool
We interrupt this blog for a commercial announcement.
Elearning Blueprints are online tools that walk you through the process of designing and writing lively elearning content. They’re my latest project, and the first blueprint goes into beta in about two weeks. So I’m looking for beta testers who are willing to trade their opinions for free access to the tool.
As a beta tester, you’ll get access to an easy-to-use web site that will help you:
- Design and write clear, engaging elearning materials on any subject
- Immediately apply the ideas to your current project
- Use research-based best practices that will make your elearning more powerful
- Find and share creative ideas
- Streamline your elearning development
Elearning examples are here!
Looking for ideas? Check the new elearning samples page. It links to more than 35 online interactions that could give you good ideas for your own materials.
The list includes everything from interactive infographics to full-blown, movie-like simulations.
I’ve included only materials that I think have good ideas to emulate, and I’ll keep adding to the list.
Know of something good? Please add it to the comments on the samples page or send it to me using the email address in the about page.
For more examples, see the responses to the Learning Circuits Blog Big Question for June.
Why do we create boring materials?
Which stars must align before we can design truly narcotic elearning? Here are a few possibilities.
No clear goal: We don’t look closely enough at the business reason for the course (there is one, right?), or we don’t identify the behaviors that will lead to that goal. As a result, we cram in too much content and don’t help learners apply it to the real world. (more…)
